I'll try to include as much info so as to not miss anything. I'm using an HP DVD740B...firmware updated to HJ24...per HP.
As media, I've used Memorex DVD+R DL and CD+RW, TDK DVD-R and yes.....Verbatim Digital Movie DVD-R.
As programs, I've used Nero 7, CDBurnerXP and Imgburn. I'm trying to create image files to burn to disc for view on DVD players. No success with either program.
I somehow managed this last time to burn through a Memorex DVD+RW...but it didn't veryify. I wish I could've gotten a screen shot for you....but the gist of it was that there was an I/O Error and the last line was(ASC/ASCQ Error: ECC).
Anyways, I'm attaching a most recent log. I've entitled this "random failures" because I've read in the pop ups about "invalid addresses", "unknown error: vendor unique", "recorder error" and even "servo spindle error" (drive motor??)
