If that's the case then why am I having trouble playing the DVDs that weren't verified? I see what you're saying. The log did say that the write was successful and it closed and finalized the disc so I know it should work...but it isn't. What am I doing wrong?

After the initial burn my laptop spits the disc tray out where the program says just push it back in and it press ok and it will continue with the verify. It has done so perfectly except once before and just now. It there a way that I can verify the contents on the disc just to make the DVD playable?
