Lately when I burn to dvd the audio is lagging slightly. What would be the cause? It used to work great.

I just bought a new Toshiba r5 dvd recorder/player. It will not play my burned dvds. My cheap old Sony dvd player would. It shows up as video ts/audio on screen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
