Thanks a bundle mate, really appreciate your time and response, makes total sense now, didnt realise the edge of the disc was the 49% mark in verify. Looks like I will have to invest in a drive, or find someone local who can do me a favour. Thanks again.
Adrianvdh, I will give this a shot, although I did think I had the latest firmware so wasnt sure if it would let me do an update with the same firmware. Maybe there might be a special program to do this ? I have an Optiarc AD-7580S also an TSSTcorp cant remember which model now.
Lightning UK, im guessing these drives dont have the ability to Force HyperTuning. I understand that it might fail due to the disc not burning to the edge properly as it is not designed to do that. But it has burned previous dual layers these same discs fine. I am just surprised that it is failing at 49% as im guessing that is around the layer break point? Could this be something to do with selecting the optimal layer break options? Previously from what I remember the .DVD file would be used to determine the layerbreak or you would enter this manually ?
Hey guys,
I am hoping someone can help please. I have written dual layer xbox 360 backups before without any issues using this same drive and verbatim media. same cakebox. dvd+dl. The write completes but in verify fails at 49% with a check condition. I have tried other drives. Only thing is these are laptop drives and they are supported by the Burner Max Tool. I have uswd these drives with no problems previously. I am inable to change the advanced settings though as one drive was sony optiarc other a tssp corp so it doesnt have advanced settings to try hyper burn etc. can someone help please. had many coasters following many guides. read also about clearing opc can i even do that on sony or tssp drives on laptops
