  1. So, the second part of the process doesn't actually burn any data onto the DVD?

  3. A few weeks ago I burned an ISO onto a blank DVD-R, no problem. I updated the ISO, replacing a few files and went to burn it onto the same type of DVD with the same DVD drive. It got through the first part of the burn, no problem. When I went to close the disk, it gave me a medium error with the interpretation of check condition. I retried a few times and concluded there must be a problem with the disk. I did the same operation on a different disk of the same type and got the same result. A quick five minute test indicated that the game was fully functional! Any idea what's going on? Am I hallucinating? And should I be concerned that it technically "failed"?
