does burning an iso image to dardisk include the boot sector and copy track for track.

used imgburn to overcome 2gb limit for udf files. after successfully burning dvd+rw disc it will not boot. i couldnt disk copy as the source disk was multisession, then couldnt use udf in nero coz instal.wim greater than 2gb. has it failed because it is now single session disk ie session 2 is absent and was it relevant?
