  1. You could try a lens cleaning disc just for kicks, but I think your burner is defective and needs replacement

Will get a lens cleaning kit and see what happens.

Can I get a copy of 2.4.4.0 from you and see if the writer is still giving same problems.

(It all seemed to be working fine until I installed 2.5.0.0)

    Regards Phil

Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). Does it help with your problem? If you can please post the Information again :)

OK have updated firmware and rebooted.

First disc in showed Disc Not Empty

Second disc showed Ready - Device Tab text below

All others so far are either Disc Not Empty or Device Not Ready(Medium Not Present)

  4. If that Disc ID is correct, it's not a DL disc.

Either way, your drive is returning bogus info for the media. It's saying 'Unknown' for stuff it should easily support and reporting the wrong 'Current Profile' for it too.

I have gone thru the remaning discs on my tub.

2 were OK now 1 shows Disc Not Empty & 1 shows Device Not Ready(Medium Not Present)

1 showed Device Not Ready(Logical Unit becoming ready) - but never did anything else

    8 showed Disc Not Empty

4 showed Device Not Ready(Medium Not Present)

Do I assume all these are duff? or does the drive need a clean?

  5. With the disc in the drive, please post the text shown in the Device tab of ImgBurn's Build mode.

when I load them I get either

    disk not empty

or disc drive just keeps on going

    using HT-DT-DT DVD+-RW GSA H31N

works on all types of single layer.

Have I missed a trick on any settings

    Be grateful for any advice

    Regards

    Phil

  9. Thanks so far.....

    I can see the following

(All 8 files have addition buffers to bring them to 2048 multiples)

    Bytes Difference

    Size 3,706,789,888

    Size on disk 3,706,806,272 16,384

System files like TOC and buffering

    Image File 3,707,404,288 598,016
