I also went to the advance tab and added my drive. When I went to the Change Book type option, Change for: Drive(For DVD+R DL Media), New Setting: DVD-ROM, Press: Change, I get a error message: Failed! Reason: Invalid Field In CDB. How do I correct that?

I'm doing some tests before my Verbatim's arrive tomorrow and I got a disk to burn without errors but it wont read in my truck. I know it's on a Ritek media but just playing around and wasting them. I have a LG BE14 writer and I'm trying to set the book type to DVD-ROM (I believe this is the issue). Setting are set to default which is auto Book type. It reads my image as: I 15:38:19 Source Media Type: DVD+R DL (Book Type: DVD-ROM) (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) but on the write, it burns as: I 15:52:59 Book Type Setting: DVD+R DL. How can I change it? Thanks!!!ImgBurn 2.log

Sorry, drive meaning my computer or the burner? I bought a LG BE14NU40 Burner with the same results so returned it. If drive might be the issue, what would you suggest? I have windows and Mac platforms that I can use but prefer Windows. Thanks!!!

Alright, took care of the SPTD issue by changing the registry value and that error does not come up again. I had just ordered the Verbatim MKM-003-00 so just need to wait and try. The issue I have is that I've been in the past burning with the Memorex DVD+R DL and have not encountered much issues with about a 95% success rate on over 400 burned. I had to reformat my computer and now theres issues. The original copy is on a Ritek and works in my truck and thats where I get the image file from. I just tried it again using a Memorex and get this error file again with the I/O error. Is the only issue with the type of media i'm using or could there be something else??? Here is the latest file for your review. I thank you for your time and expertise!!!!

I'm also getting this error : W 07:53:48 Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.
I'm deleting Ner and Alcohol 120, should that take care of it or do I need to download the drivers from somewhere? -
Is that the only issues you see from the log file? I can't tell if I have the value ones, I purchased them at a large electronics store 50 disks for $60 the sku says Verbatim #97693 1302-203
I live in the middle of nowhere with limited options to but supplies, besides Ebay, do you know where I can get quality disks?
-
I don't know why that keeps showing up as a Ritek disk in the burner. I've tried 2 mediums (memorex DVD+R DL and Verbatim DVD+R DL. The original I'm burning from is a Ritek.

It looks to me like the layer break is what failed. I was trying to backup one of my Navigation disks. I've tried numerous disk to eliminate the possibility of a bad disk. I just don't want to waist another DL disk if I don't have to. In Tools/Setting/Write everything is set to defaults. Under options for "Layer Break" it is set at "Calculate Optional".
Attached is a log of the process:
ImgBurn.logAnything I can do??? I've also tried 3 different burners (2 new LG and a BenQ) with same results. Tried on 2 other computer( windows and mac) with same results
Please help! Thanks -
Alright, it does burn without any error messages. Can you help me with something else, just before I burn the image file , I try to change the book type. Mine is an LG, I select that, change it for DVD+R DL and then in new setting,I change it to DVD-ROM click OK and get an error message: Failed, invalid field in CDB. What's that?

I'm using Verbatim disks and Memorex. It's not a disk quality issue. The info I had posted was from the original Ritek copy I had previously used and trying to make a backup from that one. I've also tried the tutorial on your link and it still does not work. It'll burn find but won't work in the vehicles nav system. It's the stock Nav in a 07 Ford F150.

I'm trying to copy a navigation disk that's non protected any cannot get it to read in my truck. I'm using Verbatim dvd+r DL disks, LG BE 14 writer and Imgburn software. I've burned them before using Ashampoo software but my system got corrupted and I had to reformat. Now it wont burn correctly, even on another computer. I'm sort of new at this and dont know what settings I need to adjust. I don't get any errors and it says the burn is good but it won't work in the truck.
This is the information from the original disk. Can anyone help me set up Imgburn settings.

I must say, I really doubted the issues I was having were related to the type of disks that I was using. I've been trying to correct my burning issues to no avail, after going through 50 Verbatim Value disks and 30 Memorex DVD+R DL. Listen to me and the moderators here! Don't buy the cheap disks! The first Verbatim AZO DVD+R DL I put in, burned without issues and works great!!!! Lightning UK....Your the MAN!!!!! Thank you for solving a my issues and putting me back in business! Again, stay away from the cheaper disks, make sure you have a newer burner and update your firmware. Happy burning!!!
