Yea, they were cheap, off brand DVDs. I'll just use them on my family members' laptop, and maybe buy a 5 pack of a better brand. Suggestions for a good brand? Verbatim? Taiyo Yuden? Any others? Thanks.

I have Windows 7(x86). All current updates and service packs are installed. I have used many of these blank DVDs, to burn, on a family member's laptop with somewhat lower specs and they haven't failed once. Any DVD I burn it only completes 10%-50% then fails. If it's a movie, the video plays fine up until where it failed on the burn. It's the same even when using different software. I'd love any help you guys can offer, thanks in advance. I did this in test mode on ImgBurn (It failed at about 90% this time, for some reason):
