  1. So after changing the I/O and updating windows 8 it seems the 2 dvd burners are working correctly (I won't know for sure until tom when i'll have the time to setup a queue to burn, that's where my issues were coming up mostly with the dvd burners.) As for the bluray burner it just hangs still. Works okay in other software though. I'll update again tom when I can check out some more things. Here is the family tree though. Also thank you for taking the time to help me out. Is it possible this is still an imgburn issue or am i possibly looking at some sort of faulty drive now? Sorry it takes so long to update baby is keeping me busy the last few days.
  2. Changed I/O to ElbyCDIO going to check it now. As for the family tree all 3 drives say there is no family tree info.
  3. I checked yesterday and ran IMGburn in safe mode with the same type of errors. Mostly getting stuck writing leadin and the drives freezing up. Don't know where to go from here.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I was previously on windows 7 for about a month, windows 8 before that. I haven't tried to boot into safe mode I will try that and update with the results. I tried using another burning software last night and that one worked without a problem. No new hardware just windows 8 fresh install. I'll come back with more info in a bit thanks again.
  5. I've been using imgburn for years w/o any problems. Today I did a fresh install of windows 8 and went to burn a dvd. I've had so many different problems I can't even believe it. Imgburn freezing when starting up with the last line in the log being: Searching for SCSI/ ATAPI devices... Imgburn freezing after burning a dvd clicking the close [x] to shutdown with the last line being: (If I remember correctly) Shutting down. Imgburn freezing when starting to burn a dvd with the last line in the log being: Writing Leadin... Imgburn starting to burn a dvd and device buffer jumping all over the place (I've read this is normal but I have never had this happen before today.) Imgburn showing multiple instances running in task manager and not being able to end the tasks they were using 0 resources. I've had to go into task manager and shutdown imgburn multiple times today and restart the computer after burning 1 dvd. I have 2 dvd burners and 1 bluray burner and i'm having issues with all 3 drives. Worked fine before windows 8 install. I've uninstalled 3 times and re-installed imgburn. I've also been on windows 8 before and haven't had any issues before today. No errors in imgburn log. I don't even know where to begin with this. I'm baffled. Please someone help me out here. I'm including an image of my latest logfile where I have just given up looking for the answer online I just can't find it. Please note the times on the last 2 lines. Writing leadin 1:25:04 Abort Request Acknowledged 1:36:35 11 minutes of nothing. and currently 6 minutes later 1:42:26 the program has yet to shutdown. EDIT: The drive shown in the image is my bluray burner.
