So should I use an .img file instead? I'l try using a different file as well. EDIT: I tried using an .img file and it didn't show the PS logo. It only does when it's an ISO.

By the looks of it, I'm leaving something important out of the process. First I download the ROM and make sure that it's an iso. Then I write it onto the disc. It seems too simple to be right. What I don't get is how the PS logo even shows up.

Just used CloneCD with the same results. It goes to the Playstation Logo and stops.

I've tried multiple times to burn a game onto my CD-R with no luck. The game boot up on the system up to the logo, and then I get a black screen. My PS1 is chipped, as practically all my games on it are burned by a friend. Even after verification, the disc doesn't work properly.
