  2. Thanks for all your help man! I figured out the problem, Roxio was installed for some dumb reason and for some even dumber reason was keeping the DVD drive busy, what a piece of garbage program. Anyways hope this helps someone googling for this problem.
  3. I don't know if this helps or not but i decided to try and burn a CD to see if it would work but i get an error from Windows Media player "windows media player cannot burn the files if the burner is busy"

  5. okay ill give that shot and let you know, thanks for the reply!
  6. My grandpa said someone put windows 7 on his HP windows XP media center Pavilion A1247C and he hasn't been able to burn DVDs using DVD flick since, It gets to 98% buffering in imgburn then forever stops, the program doesn't freeze though, the timer keeps ticking but it wont close, even if you try and end the process. Also after a failed burning attempt the DVD drive stops showing that there's a disc inside and if you try and right click on it to look at its properties Windows Explorer freezes until you restart and on shut down/restart somethings happens and it never fully shuts down, again only when there's been an attempt to burn a DVD. I tried updating the drivers, making sure the cables are plugged in and stuff like that but was unable to fix it so i figured the burner itself was broken so i got a brand new one but its still doing the same thing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Windows 7 The dvd burners are ATA, old one was a Lightscribe and the new ones Samsung SH-224 ATA Imgburn log I 23:04:20 ImgBurn Version 2.5.8.0 started!
