Hi everyone, let me start off by saying how lucky I am to have finally registered on here ( I hadn't been able to fill out the registration form because the CAPTCHA thing wouldn't show up despite having Silverlight, Flash, Shockwave Player and Java installed and up to date including the correct content settings ).
At any rate, here's my issue as it stands:

Basically, getting stuck writing the lead-in over and over again.
Just one of the numerous logs pointing to inexplicable errors that persist no matter what I try... and this is what I have tried so far:
- deleting other applications' drivers that were interfering
- updating Intel chipset drivers
- updating BD-ROM drive's firmware
- running ImgBurn as administrator
- running ImgBurn in safe mode
- changing write method to Incremental
- experimenting with various write speeds
- enabling Optimum Power Calibration
Out of many attempts to write to a DVD-R, I have only ever had one successful burn... or partially successful perhaps ( the disc worked up until a certain point ):

The last few lines are irrelevant anyway.
At the time it took 3 seconds to write the lead-in as opposed to most tries during which it takes 7 minutes or so for an error to show up in the log. As you may be able to tell, I have no idea what I did right back then... I was using the same brand from the same batch of DVDs.
If anyone has tips I could use please let me know. I know many of you have a sharp eye for this kind of thing so hopefully there might be something I haven't tried yet. I appreciate the time!
