my BH16NS40 seems to be working so far.. the only thing is it says it can't write at 2x and must write at a minimum of 4x.. I really want to burn at 2x for reliability.. hopefully a firmware fix will allow this?

appreciate the reply lightning, sadly i got this error "Updating was failed. Please repeat that. (Error data = 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 )" I suspect the drive has had it. It's done me well.. I'll install the new one when its delivered today and hope that works

I bought a new drive as I need this issue resolved very quickly, hopefully it works.

hi all, first post here and I'm desperate! I had 5 failed burns with a bluray (I burn home authored blurays regularly) so I tried a different, known to be working bluray folder, same error.. I then bought some new discs with hope this would definitely fix the issue but they arrived this morning and... same error! I'm now wondering if my LG HL-DT-ST BD-RE GGW-H20L YL05 is faulty...
