Unless I'm misunderstanding the warning, it sounds like these will all get shortened to the same filename, which would result in losing all but one. Also, is there a way to tell ImgBurn to exclude certain subdirectories of directories you want to include? E.g. I tried to do a backup, but I get the above error msg (ok, i'ts preceded by "Arrrrgggh!"). ImgBurn then says "Operation Aborted", presumably because of this warning. I can see what the incompatible file names are; I guess what I'd like to do is to create a non-Joliet compatible DVD. I know how to turn off logging of non-compliant names in the Settings dialog, and I guess that will prevent the above warning; and it looks like I can turn off actual Joliet compatibility in the Options tab; but what are the implications of this? In the event of a hard disk crash down the road, will I be able to restore my files from the DVD?
