[Problems with BD-r writing]

Hi. I have this one since 2012 and I only used it for DVD writing and occasional Bluray reading. Never had the chance, until recently, to use for BD writing. Aside of the BD writing, it works fine, which surprise me a bit.

Thanks. I'll go get that disc now and see if I can get a new burner soon. The pioneer one is more interesting than the LG (not reliable based on past experiences).

 

Incidently, do you know any database on BD writers that can handle m-discs (aside the two you mentioned) ? I can't find any that seems reliable.

Yes, I was going to suggest the same thing.  That drive probably didn't support M-Disc.  A similar post happened a few weeks/months ago and that seemed to be the problem.

 

 

BTW, what does this entry in that log mean: W 20:46:52 Removed Filtered File: \DVDFab.miniso

 

 

What's a filtered file and why would it be removed?

 

 

I don't think I've ever seen such a log entry ever before.

 

What are M-Discs and which discs should I use in order to work this mess, please ?

 

Mini-iso are image files emulators done by DVDFab when you convert iso file to files only format or rip a disc (BD & DVD) to PC in file format.

I tried a few times with other softwares, but no success. I don't know if its either the disc or the burner that's causing this.
