In reviewing the log for one of my recent blue ray burns I see the following line. What does it mean and how to I correct the issue? W 00:11:53 Duplex Secure's SPTD driver can have a detrimental effect on drive performance.

Windows told me my driver was up to date until I went to this site and used the firmware update utility. Now I'm current. Thank you and I am quite impressed with your knowledge. I will try a new burn immediately and see if that fixes the issue. Also, I have a newly installed Asus BW 12b1st. Where would I see if an update exists for that one? Thanks again.

Thanks. I'll look at the drives. They are brand new, packaged with my high-end Dell. I just got the computer about two months ago.

The drives are packaged with the new Dell Studio made by Philips & LiteOn Digital Solutions. I will just uninstall and re-install to see what happens. Is there any special I should know about the uninstall-re-install procedure? Judging from the posts, it seems like other folks are having similar problems getting good burns with this program.

Do I basically hear you say that this is an error because of the disk? Can I assume that the program, burner, etc., are acceptable? Thanks for the response.
