why are you choosing 1x burn them at their rated speed of 8x
What is the uknown device btw
something def not right it never used to be this unreliable.BTW if I use Nero , it burns fine every time..same media
Unless that is a re-writable disc How can you say that.
If I have the time I always thought burning a dvd-r at 1x was the best to assure it worked ok.
the unknown device is a VOBID instantcd drive, it might be something to do with Nero, I must work out where it's from and get rid of it.
na def not a re-writable disc
btw instant copy and clone cd all burn ok too, it's just imgburn that has problems. that was naother coaster it burned yesterday, maybe I should give up using it, pity I have used it for years and always thought it was the best, my system is obviously corrupted somehwere for it to work properly.

It would appear the drive just isn't initialising the disc properly the first time around then.
Eject + reinsert the tray (when you've got one of the blanks in it) and then copy + paste the info from the panel on the right in the main ImgBurn window.
Yep I see it
Pre-recorded Information:
Manufacturer ID: TYG02
it seems to happen when I first boot Imgburn, I don't think it's a disc error, I closed and reopened Imgburn and it was fine. I shall test some more at least I now know what the problem is thanks. why it happens I dunno yet.

Get some good media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. Your drive doesn't even recognise the ones you are using.
They are Taiyo Yuden! or at least should be I have the invoice here in front of me saying they are..and every burn I have done with them has been excellent. I wonder if there is another way of reading the blank cd info
Thanks for the tip tho I never thought it might be the media.

I get this all the time, some weird command sequnce error, I have to cancel out of it as I have done here before it starts to turn the dic into a coaster, then I press burn again and it's fine.
Any idea's

Thanks again donta, your a star, I'll order some of those
Will have a look where i usually go when svp are out.
gimme 5 minutes
edit i only use ImgBurn to write my 360 stuff not 1 failure so far.
http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product.php?la...8dac531c35e56bd
25 pack and printable as well i usually only get 10 packs X however many i want etc.
-
sorry but those disc's are not very good, if you try using verbatim dl+ order code 43562 you should see those errors go.
If you do get verbs make sure your writers firmware is up to date, If you still get errors then, it may be down to a faulty writer.
thanks Donta, where is the order code for? sorry if this is obvious, I couldnt see a link to shop anywhere or is that the model number?
I looked on SVP but they are out of stock and wow really expensive!! any good UK supplier?
I have burnt two discs with CloneCD and the above discs are fine so far.(am trying to help not having a go at IMGburn as I much prefere it)
Cheers

IMGBurn still not workign properly
in ImgBurn Support
Posted
Thanks for the replies guys, I didn't realise I was using that much memory, I have done some investigationg and really can't tell where it's all going, I was running a few things on original post so that accounted for about 200 meg but even from a fresh restart it's still around the 4-500 mark.
I started trying to turn of services then I decided I shall investigagte that extra CD drive I could never get rid off, the VOBID drive IMG reports it as unknown, after a few googles I found some info and managed to uninstall it, just tried IMG and low and behold it works! still running loads of memory but thats for another day , it's all the Apple mobile device & search indexer etc etc and Mcaffee seems to have tons of little apps running..
anyhow I'll see how it goes , but thats for the advice at least IMG is back workign again, whoo hoo, it was always my favorite, glad to have to have it back. Hopefully it is anyhow.
