Extract all the files to a folder on your hard drive. Then go to that folder and click the setup file in that folder.
i did do that but it just came up with same thing

Where did you download the firmware? Was it a zip file? Did you extract all files or did you just double click the setup file within the zip container?

How is the drive connected? IDE / USB / Firewire etc?
What controller is it on (if the answer to the above is IDE) ?
If IDE, have you tried updating the controller drivers? They could be blocking the commands used by the firmware flasher.
i conncted with a usb dont know much about controllers sorry

im try ing to update firmware on my pioneer 115d burner
the firmware is at 1.06 and trrying to update to 1.18
when i go to do it i get this message

iv got a film that is in a mkv file
how would i go about burning this to a verbatim dual layer disc
i ask this as the file is 7,675,533 kb long
its just iv never come across this kind of file
hope some1 can help many thanx

Are you backing these discs up again cos the XBox can no longer read them ? If so it may be that ImgBurn or any such program will struggle if the disc quality sucks...
my mate would like them for his backups
its just i dont have them any more on my harddrive.
so just to save downloading again

i have a few xbox 360 games i have backed up but i no longer have the files on my pc
can i just copy these dvds?

Could you post a log of the failed burn. Could be bad media etc etc........ the lof will give us more info. help>img logs>copy and paste.

when i burn backup games using imgburner i get to about 51% then this error comes up
