This makes me think its not the disc type being incompatible with the reader, but rather the flac being incompatible with the disc?

This is a very believable explanation, thank you. However, I am able to write discs with MP3 files and the player is able to read them, but there is weird spacing between the tracks.

I am using a verbatim slimline reader and verbatim brand discs.

Am I doing something wrong here? I was under the impression that flac is the ideal file format for this. I think it might be something to do with only listing one track.

Tried creating an image file based off of a folder of 16 songs (flac files). Cd player outside of my computer reads "no disc" when inserting.
