  1. The ConvertXtoDVD works a treat, perfect quality throughout, it's even added the spanish subtitles that didn't feature on the Divx footage ( I'm guessing when it was compressed they don't feature but when I've converted to original format the subtitles are there ) I think this has been the problem with the Xilisoft convertor, it couldn't cope with the subtitle stream as it didn't show on the burns I did with it. Thanks again.
  2. Dontasciime you must hate it when your right first time. I built an iso file from normal dvd content and the dvd works perfectly in my player. I burned it at 4x speed. The problem has obviously been the divx to dvd conversion, if I had a brain I should have checked this out before wasting your time. I used Xilisofts Divx to Dvd program to do the conversion which obviously hasn't worked very well. Am I wasting my time trying to convert these formats or is there a way to ensure a better quality ie better convertor program. Thanks again. Thanks LUK for the advice and the program, donation will be forthcoming. I didn't realise Dvd burners were so cheap so I will probably upgrade in the very near future.
  3. Thanks for the quick response, I'll give it a go and report back thanks
  4. Hi, I'm new to the Dvd burning game and am looking for some advice, apologies if the answer is in the forum somewhere I have looked. I go through all the stages successfully for burning an iso to dvd and the disc works perfect on pc but when I play on my dvd player (Panasonic DVD-XV10) the picture quality is good but it freezes for a split second then plays on then freezes again etc. My DVD writer is an HP DVD Writer 300n 3.20 which has the latest firmware update ( it's prob a crap writer but it's what came with the pc, i don't know). I'm using Verbatim DVD+R YUDEN000T03 disks. The log for the burn is attached I 12:13:39 ImgBurn Version 2.2.0.0 started!
