I was under the impression that this was a "replacement" to dvd decrypter...sorry

Previously used dvd decrypter and could put dvd in and burn to hard drive. Then use dvd shrink to burn to dvd. Am totally lost and have researched how to use imgburn and am confused as to single layer iso and double layer iso. The guide confuses me even more. Can someone point me in the right direction .....PLEASE. Thanks
