I wish someone would of told me to reduce write speed on June 21st
-
Update the firmware on the drive.
http://www.firmwarehq.com/Pioneer/BDR-207D/files.html
Try burning at some of the other supported speeds.
Please right click the drive selection box when you're in Write mode and pick 'Family Tree'. Close the prompt and copy + paste everything from the Log window.

I never closed the session, is the drive selection box unavailable at this juncture cause i cannot find this option, or do i have to start a new session first to get to the drive selection box?

This is the guide for what you want to do: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=6379
Notice, though, that ImgBurn makes no attempt to remove/bypass any kind of copy protection, and that the audio extraction quality/accuracy relies entirely on the drive you're using to read the disc.
Thanks but maybe i should have been more clear, i want it ripped to my hard disk as a mp3, how would i convert that iso file then?
-
I have a mixed audio CD with several tracks which are mixed\overlayed to make one track. Can ImgBurn perform the
task *copying* the entire CDs to my hard disk .. rather than digitally extracting individual songs (tracks)?? If not what can i use? I don't see any guide for this process!
-
Use your DVD burner drive to read it off.
It would not burn, the original disk copy protected plus has errors on it. Thanks Lightning.

This is a log from earlier when it did read the media:

I 05:11:13 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices...
I 05:11:13 Found 1 CD-RW and 1 DVD±RW!

If the drive won't detect the media then there probably isn't much you can do besides trying to clean it and hope it then works.
You could try the various different DVD+RW dyes, maybe one will work.
Failing that, buy a new drive.
Thanks

Can someone please help me, my burner is not writing to +R media it has been working great
with -R media for years, never tried -R till now. I am using the LITE-ON DVDRW SHW-160P6S. I
tried writing to +R Maxell which I use in -R all the time, I also tried the horrible Memorex -R. I
have tried using Nero 9 Reloaded as well as Image Burn, both have failed. I have the updated
firmware installed from this location
http://www.liteonit.com/global/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=154
Can somebody please help? Thanks in advance.

how do you mean 'easy to use'?
Must be the lack of EZ picker mode that makes it easy to use....
@Chala
I'd give the new version a go, you can always downgrade.
I just downloaded 2.4.0.0 and yes the EZ picker mode looks cool. Thanks for your help as always guys. Signing off it's 6:25 am here in nyc been up all night take care!
-
Nothing's broken in 2.4.0.0 - update. A lot of work went into the release.
Regards
Ok, Ok, maybe i will check it out.
-
how do you mean 'easy to use'?
Basically i just don't want to learn anything new with the new release i am very comfortable with what i have thats all.
-
First I'd update to 2.4.0.0 as it is the supported version now.
Go to Tools/Settings/Build tab and untick the "Remember MRU tab" option in the lower right corner and then press OK.
I think i want to stay with 2.3.0.0 for a while as it is so easy to use. The "Remember MRU tab" was already unticked, what i did was click "Clear Src MRU List" and that did it. Thanks LOCOENG.
-
I am using version 2.3.0.0 how do i clear the source box when in "Build" mode? Thanks.
-
I'd actually do it round the other way
Firmware updates always come first!
LIGHTNING i did it the way you stated, i updated Firmware then used a different disk and it now works like a charm thanks so much your the best. Also thanks to others who repsonded as well! Great forum.
-
PSOB would be the latest there was a PSOC that seems to have vanished from liteon's site
http://www.liteonit.com/DOWNLOADS/ODD/SHW-...re/DR16PS0B.rar
Thanks Dontasciime

I'd actually do it round the other way

Will do Lightning thanks again!
-
not for nothing but we dont support anything but IMGburn ,you have me a little confused when you say you're trying to use Flick to burn and then you post a log of IMGburn ,cant you do what you want without flick by using IB's build mode
those Riteks are not very good we only recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs
polo i was trying to burn an avi file it needed to be converted hence my reasons for utilizing DVD Flick
-
Thanks so much for responding Lightning UK, I think it's the disc i will try that first then look for firmware updates i will get back to you...thanks again
Cant write at all anymore
