I just broke down and bought/installed a brand new LiteOn 16x Internal DVD+-/+-RW ReWriter drive...burning it's first DVD right now...seems super fast and it will even burn dual layer so will have to try that out eventually. Lightning UK, the link you provided to upgrade firmware to v. 1.22 does not work...in fact, redirect site domain is for sale. I downloaded/installed the v. 1.21 and that does not fix the problem. As to your suggestion that my DVD drive is too old to handle current media, that is not a logical or practical solution, since it has always worked just fine till today with imgBurn...I seriously doubt that 4/22/07 is the chosen date that it would suddenly be rendered obsolete. I will now try buying some Verbatim discs, as suggested by Shamus and if that doesn't work I'm done wasting time my time and will use another burner. Thanks anyway.

Good Morning, I hope someone can help me. New to this so sorry if unfamiliar with specifics of this program...have used DVD Decrypter and DVDShrink successfully in the past...trying ImgBurn. When I try to burn ISO image from hard drive to brand new DVD-R (imation branc) disc, I get an error that ends with: Cannot Write Medium - Incompatible Format. Yesterday I got a different error that lead me to upgrade the firmware on my DVD drive...now this. Any suggestions? Thanks much! Here's the log...
