  1. Never mind. I found out if i select "Run As Administrator" before running Decrypter and Shrink and even ImgBurn, they run fine. Thanks for the help.
  2. ok well how does this help me then on larger sized discs? a lot of them are 5-6 gig or more and if it tries to burn a DVD that way it's gonna take a DL Disc to burn it because Discs are 4.7 gig. Right now, unless i try to Run as Administrator (which i have not tried) i can't make .iso's on DVD Shrink. Anyway, let me know. Paul
  3. It was on "Plug N Play". it gave me options on what to do with Blank DVD and one choice was "Burn+Build with IMG Burn"
  4. i forgot to mention that i used my external drive and that caused autoplay to come up. turns out my built in one was just a cd burner. anyway, again could you tell me what happens to iso's after build and burn? thanks.
  5. Recently i bought Vista and i couldn't build a iso with it. I then discovered that if i chose "build and burn using IMG Burn" i could do both at once. however when i went to remove the Video_TS and .iso,i could only find the Video_TS. is there a special folder hidden that has it? or does it delete after it's done? it doesn;t look like it's set to delete after burn but as i said i can't find it. I did delete the Video_TS though. If enough of these temporary .iso's get on my hard drive,i'm not going to have much left eventually. Can someone give me a hand with this? thanks.
  6. well then PM me about it darn it. lmao kidding. anyway i understand. i just don't see any guides on it though.
  7. well if it is only supposed to do mpeg-4,then it wouldn't do me any good. i'm autistic and i get confused easily so if i don't understand stuff i give up. But anyway....
  8. I know you need to compress it,but i can't figure out how to do it with recode. Can you put a step by step thing that shows how to do it? to make 8gb fit on a 4gb disc you need to compress it , use either recode or shrink . if this is not easy enough for you stick to files under 4gb Or buy a dual layer burner and DL discs
  9. guess not. i'm confused.
  10. ok but i guess what i needs to ask is,i put the 8 gig .iso into this program converting it to 4 gig?
  11. yeah but programs like that are meant for advanced users so it'd take a person with a phd to figure it out. unless it says step by step how to condense the file,i'll end up giving up.
  12. well i know that stuff but it don't matter because it'll create a .iso that is 8 gig's and as that is too big a file it won;'t fit in a single layer disc. unless it auto converts it to a 4.7 gig or less, then it's useless.
  13. well i think it makes it hard to use IMGBURN if it gives me this message for Double Layer DVD's because if i get this in the future, that means i'll have to use Shrink on those dvd's as i have no double layer discs. But anyway...
  14. is Recode free? in any case i decided to use DVD Shrink instead which did condense it to 4.7 gig. Thanks.
  15. well since my post i read the guide and it said that so i did what it said but after i selected it,the calculator came up and did a test and it said "97%" but at the same time, the file said it was going to take 8 gig but a disc only goes 4.7. didn't make sense to me. Am i supposed to select another layer break file and hope it goes under 4.7? anyway,i hope i don't have to do this very often. layer breaks do not rule. hehe.
  16. a couple of times while creating an ISO using imgburn, after setting it up and then clicking the calculator,i'll get a "Layer Break" screen. What's going on,and is this normal? should i select all? i'm confused. this is the 2nd time i have gotten this when creating the .iso. any help would be appreciated.
  17. ok thanks, i appreciate the help. you guys rock.
  18. everytime i create a .iso or dvd,the next time i create one,it shows a list of the past ones i did. How do i clear the list? can i go into regedit? just curious.
  19. i figured out the .iso thing but i figured as long as it was burned, the dvd would play ok. If i cannot play a DVD without doing the verify option, then that's fine. I just thought you could go without it. Thanks for your time.
  20. i just installed Imgburn yesterday after accidentally deleting DVD Decrypter as my burning software,so i have a couple of issues. 1) do i need to verify after every burn? i'm so used to burning then it's done. if verifying is optional and if it's ok to uncheck it,let me know. 2) both times since i got Imgburn i tried creating a .iso using imgburn but i must not be doing it right. I am now using DVD Fab Decrypter (now included with the HD Fab Decrypter) to copy the original files to the hard drive so i point it from Fulldisc>mymovie>Video_TS and i create the name of the .iso and oress the calculator, but i get an error saying it'll stop working with dual disc or something like that and it won't divide or something. i guess i'm confused on how to do it,and i followed the step by step photo examples and i'm still lost. Anyone have any ideas on what i'm doing wrong? Thanks for your time.
