Ohhh, I thought earlier posts said bad drive. But the answer is better blank discs! I can buy better discs - I've read all those posts too. Thanks, Jerol
  2. Image 1 is what I get, image 2 is what needs to happen. I have read your posts about this problem and fingers seem to point at a misbehaving drive. Well, okay, but what do I need to do to move on? Ctl-Alt-Del x 2? That seems kind of severe but it has been over an hour... As in the other user's post, I finished writing to one DVD and it went so well I thought I would do a 2nd. Oops, wish I hadn't. FYI, the log (to the author: neat log, BTW): I 14:53:39 Operation Started! 3. Thank you kindly. Regards, Jerol
  4. An actor client loaned me his "garage-shop created" demo reel dvd to add videos to his web site. He wants me to make a copy and return his. It plays about 15 min fading from one of his scenes into another for 10 short scenes from various films. It consists of 1 VIDEO_TS folder holding 7 vob, bup, and ifo files, of which the large vob is 667MB. On my Win XP-pro PC, can I just use Windows Explorer to copy the Video_TS folder and files to my hard drive, then use imgburn to burn them to a blank dvd? I don't want to convert, shrink, or codec anything - I just want to make an exact copy in the same format. (Later I"ll worry about conversion into Internet-friendly formats). Thanks.
