i have all ready update the firmware 2day & still get the same thing verbatim DL 2.4 ones i have

hi, can someone plz help me as i have r bit of a problem when i put r verbatim Dvd+r Dl Disc in my drive to burn an iso imgburm says device not ready (no reference position found) what does this mean if someone could let me know i would appreciate it. thanx.
