  1. You can't change the booktype of -R and -RW, the format doesn't allow it. To change the booktype of +R just go into the same screen as before and choose 'Current Media (For DVD+R Media)'.

after i change the current media to dvd+r, then what should choose for the 2nd drop down list by "change"?

  2. yes it finally works. thank you very much

    now one more thing :

    - i know how to do it with dvd+rw discs. can you tell me the steps to do it for dvd-rw, dvd-r, and dvd+r discs? or maybe you could point me in the direction of a tutorial.

thank you to everybody in advance.

please think about filling my last request :D

    * note: ive created dvd's with sonic my dvd and used dvd+rw discs. they played on my durabrand dvd player. i did use video and used menu templates.

but for some reason, i cant get this dvd to work on my dvd player just on my computer

  4. Before you burn, click the 'Change booktype' button (a small picture of a book to the right of the copies dropdown). Choose your drive brand, then click 'Change for' and choose DVD+RW, then for 'New setting' choose DVD-ROM.

Let us know how you get on, but if it doesn't work post the burn log and details of your DVD player.

choose your drive brand? how do i do that?

also when i go to change for, its says dvd+rw current media and also dvd+rw media drive.

    which do i choose

    * note : i did put in the dvd disc i created. idk if i can rewrite it

can i rewrite a disc i already created using ImgBurn?

  5. Hi righteous, welcome to the forum.

It's likely that your DVD player doesn't like DVD+RW discs. You can however fool it into thinking the disc is a normal DVD-ROM disc.

Before you burn, click the 'Change booktype' button (a small picture of a book to the right of the copies dropdown). Choose your drive brand, then click 'Change for' and choose DVD+RW, then for 'New setting' choose DVD-ROM.

Let us know how you get on, but if it doesn't work post the burn log and details of your DVD player.

how would i post a burn log please? and thank you for the warm welcome

  6. greetings Burners,

i have an iso file. the file contains 2 folders (1. VIDEO_TS 2. AUDIO_TS). These 2 folders are from a dvd (vidoe, audio, menus, extras).

what i need help with is this :

i would like to create a working dvd which will play on my dvd player (excluding my computers dvd player).

i know i either have to burn the iso or extract the 2 folders and burn those.

ive tried to make a dvd with ImgBurn but it only plays on my dvd. i used a dvd+rw disc.

    -------------------------------------------------------

    what method should i use?

    which disc type?

why didnt the disc i made play on my dvd player (not comp)
