I was facing problem with burning CD-Rs with my DVD-RW drive and looking up the web suggested me to upgrade its firmware.
I upgraded my TSST DVD-RW TS-L532B DE03 to DE04 firmware. My notebook is Dell Inspiron 6400 and I downloaded the DE04 from Dell Support site.
However, after the firmware upgrade, the drive is no longer opening any CDs. It shows in the explorer, gets installed and uninstalled; but doesnot run any CDs. Please help me with this.
I have already tried removing the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry key as suggested my a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
