    I backed up some files from my hard disk to a tdk dvd-rw. During the verify imgburn reported some errors

    Is this normal? I opened the Mass Effect 3 - Shep - 1920x1200.jpg and i didn't notice any problems with it.

    Edit - After downgrading from SB04 firmware version to SB00 now both drives can read dl media perfectly. So it was a firmware problem with the Verbatim media (at least the India made ones).

     

    Either way i need to buy a new burner. ihas 124b i am looking at you :D

    Hi, i burned several XBOX 360 backups using ImgBurn 2.5.6.0. They work perfectly on my console but my PC does not recognize them at all.

     

    Every other type of media i tried (CD , DVD, etc.) they work perfectly, the problem is with DL media. Also i have no problem with original XBOX 360 games, my PC recognizes them.

     

    I use Verbatim MKM-003 but India made ones, not Singapore.

     

    PC specs

     

    Win 7 x64 SP1

     

    Two Samsung's SH-S203B with the latest firmware (SBO4)

     

    Gigabyte GA-EP43-S3L

     

    q9400

     

    4GB RAM

     

    Currently i am running in IDE mode but i also tried AHCI but with no different results.

     

    I found it strange that my PC drives can burn with no problems XBOX 360 games, read original ones, but not recognize at all the burned 360 discs. Also when i put a burned 360 game the light of the drive just blinks for ever and the drive itself makes weird noises.

    Looks like a firmware bug as it's reporting incorrect TOC info and not saying the track is a data track.

     

    I assume it's fine if you put the disc in a different drive?

     

    My burner can't read that disc at all, it says that it uses a format that it's not compatible with Windows when i put the disc inside. My burner is a NEC ND 4550A with the latest firmware (1.09). However the Plextor can read the disc perfectly and i can access it's contents without any problems.

     

    Also i tested this disc on another drive (it was probably an unbranded drive, i don't remember for sure) and it was also working fine there.

    I uninstalled Alcohol more than a year ago. However as i see in the Autoruns i still have the sptd driver. Can this driver cause any conficts? Is it safe to completely delete the entry with Autoruns?

     

    Update:

     

    Ok it seems that my Plextor doesn't work correctly with imgburn. I tried inserting a lot of different discs, original pc, ps1 & ps2 games, discs copied by others etc. I always get the message that disc is not supported (audio). However the discs that can be read by my burner* (NEC ND-4550A) they work perfectly with imgburn in read mode and i can create the image.

     

    * It seems that my burner can only read cd's and not dvd's! Seems like a nasty conflict there. In case you are wondering why i didn't say all this sooner, it's just i use my burner for burning purposes only and my plextor for all the reading purposes. Plus with other programs, (Ashampoo burning studio and/or nero for example) they never complained about the cd/dvd i wanted to create the image. And now i discovered all this i am wondering what is wrong with my drives.

    Yes i know that, but as i said i get that message on every cd and/or dvd i insert. Doesn't matter if it's a data cd/dvd, a ps2 game and so on. Perhaps i wasn't clear enough on my previous post.
