  1. Ah sorry, seems I did some things incorrectly on Vista.

It's looking at a different 'Devices' dropdown box to figure out which one is selected and under Vista that box is always empty.

I'd only tested it on XP as I can't access firewire devices from within VMWare.

It's fixed for the next version.

You could try changing the compatability settings to make your OS look like XP to ImgBurn... but be warned, a few other things within the program might look a little different!

OOOO nooo!!! been dieing for this version to come out when will the next version be out?

any chance of gettng a quick fix for it?

    thanks tho love the program

i have tested in compatibility mode and it works so i guess that is the work around and work out :)

I need an I/O debug log to figure out why the commands are failing (or returning rubbish).

Press F8 to enable I/O debug mode, then open up the 'Medium Changer Control' window.

Click the bottom 'Scan All' button and leave it until it's done a few slots (even if they come up unknown).

Cancel it, close the window and then save the log to a file and upload it onto the forum (or copy + paste it all).

    Thanks.

It actually does nothing at nothing in the log nothing. Its like i never clicked the button. But i did.

Could it be the fact i am rdping into the box i am doing this on?

  4. When you click 'Scan All', the changer won't physically do anything, it should just change from saying 'Unknown' to 'Yes' or 'No'.

ok clicked scan all nothing happened.

    it says unknown and unknown.

  5. I am using a sony vaio changer and i go into the media changer and nothing comes up, so i select the sony vaio changer and it says it has 200 slots but everything is unknown and when i click scan all it does nothing with the changer at all. Like it can't control it for some reason.

I use a dos program and it can control it and change the slots etc. Where should i start? I have removed the drive out of device and had it readd rebooted etc.

what logs would you need to trouble shoot it?

this is what it says when it starts

  7. Hard to know where the problem lies without you doing a bit more testing.

Can you read discs faster than 0.2x?

You might have massive firewire issues where all the commands are failing, i've seen that before on someone's PC.

You might be able to find a hotfix or something for it from Microsoft. Even a motherboard bios update could do the trick (assuming the firewire is built onto it?).

I am pretty sure it has something to do with the firewire, it is a pci express card that i purchased.

I have checked for hotfixes nothing and it loads as a NEC OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller

    I will test the reading

  8. HI,

I am burning a iso image with IMGBURN and the device buffer on the burner never gets above 60% it continually drops down to 10 then backup to 50 then down to 10 up to 60 etc.

Thusly the rate will never get above .2 kb so i thusly abort the burn.

i have let it go for a while etc and it never gets going. Let me know ifyou need any other details.

  9. The only way to get that info is to load each disc into the drive one by one. Obviously that takes aaaaagggeeeees.

Yes i know that would be fine, some type of indexing if you want to do it.

Here is my situation i am at work and i rdp into my home computer

I have a lot of dvd's etc that i need to get copied to the dvd's but some are dual layers some aren't.

So if i could say burn this iso to this cd it would be EXCELLENT and very helpful.

  10. I have one of these changers and can setup a rdp session if needed. Just let me know.

I would love to be able to see what type of blank disk i have in what.

I.e. i would love to be able to see at a glance which ones are dual layer which ones are single layer and the media type would be great. I know a perfect world.

Where could i get the above program at least that helps some?

    Thanks
