I prefer mmalves response to yours. But both solve the problem. In my case, I have a few VMWare virtual machines connected to the specific drive. The drive, by the way, is a USB connected external drive. I was able to just click Continue and get past the message and the DVD was successfully created. At least now I know why I have the message and can sleep nights without wondering what is wrong. Thanks, Dale
