While not completely new to burning, I feel like I'm in a new world lately. I've had great luck using Verbatim DVD+R DL media on my NEC. A few months ago I upgraded to a SATA samsung for it's faster DVD9 burning abilities. Soo I started making a LOT of coasters. Backing off on the speed to 4x didn't help so I figured I had a bad drive. I ordered another and had the same problem. Even at 2.4x over 50% of the disks would fail. Perhaps a bad batch of disks I thought, nope, I had the good Singapore disks. Those disks that I am able to burn seem per DVDInfo but I don't have an old 'good' disk to test.
