I have a hp dual layer light scribe dvd burner HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N ATA DEVICE. im using memorex dvd+r dl dvds. everytime i try to burn dvd it never goes passed 54 percent. always get errors. i have included the log. I 11:56:08 Destination Device: [0:0:0] HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4084N KQ09 (E:) (ATA) Your drive is 3 years old now and I would go to the manufacturerswebsite to look for a more recent firmware or replace the drive since they are really inexpensive now.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 You could have done with buying the 2.4x rated Verbatims (MKM-001-00 dye) rather than the 8x (MKM-003-00) ones. Try cleaning your drive, that might fix it. Failing that, invest in a new one (assuming you don't want to take the MKM-001-00 route).
