I'm a pc novice, first time downloaded imgburn to burn a downloaded video to a cd but couldn't even get it started!

Successfully downloaded imgburn software but when tried to select file from 'Source', it won't open with message

"Invalid or unsupported image file format". not sure if any relevance,

1 my C:/ drive is NTFS ;

2 Also, even though I have tried many different ways to open the Source file (eg, ask for support files with extension .CUE, .MDS or .ISO the Log doesn't seem to have updated the activities;

3 the video I'm trying to burn is copied from BitTorrent (Kung Fu Panda with DvDrip-aXXo and no other extension)

Copy of log as follows:-

The file you're burning is NOT an image file.

As such, you should not be using 'Write' mode.

Burn it as a data disc in 'Build' mode.

Thanks Lighting UK.

Some progress has been made but it ended with "Unable to create directory".

Switch the Output to Device and you'll burn directly to media (you don't need to create an ISO image before burning). Also close unused programs to free up system resources.

Is your D: drive actually a hard drive?!

Hi Lighting UK,

My D: drive is not a hard drive. it is part of my processor where I normally play the cd.

mmalves has helped solved the problem by changing the output to 'Device' and I have successfully burned the cd!

Thank you all again very much for all your help!
