Flipex Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Hi . I have some Verbatim DVD+R DL discs and im writing x360 games. I noticed one thing , the supported write speeds on the DVD are 4x , 6x and 8x. Can i write on 2,4x or do i have to write on the supported speeds ? Because ive been having some burning issues and i think this is the problem...But im not sure...So thanks for the help.
Cynthia Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 No. Even if you select 2.4x as desired speed, it will burn at 4x. Post a log from one burn and we can see if there is anything odd in the log.
Flipex Posted May 18, 2009 Author Posted May 18, 2009 Problem solved...Ive just set the write speed on 4x and it writes with no errors . Thanks anyways .
mmalves Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Setting the write speed to 4x didn't solve the problem, which is probably due to low quality media...
Flipex Posted May 18, 2009 Author Posted May 18, 2009 (edited) I don't think it was the media couse ive always used Verbs ... Edited May 18, 2009 by Flipex
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 If you post a log that highlights your 'burning issues', maybe we can help?
Big Big Nose Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Setting the write speed to 4x didn't solve the problem, which is probably due to low quality media... I 20:21:16 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: RITEK-F16-01) (Speeds: 4x, 8x, 12x, 16x)I 20:21:16 Write Speed: MAX Try burning at 8x or 12x and it should work. If it doesn't try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it'll work Lol, mmalves whats going on here then? You suggested I use Verbatims lol
LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Just a simple mistake on mmalves part (mixed up with another topic?), Verbatims are the ones to buy.
mmalves Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 LUK is right, I had opened several tabs of different topics and mixed them up
