Imgburn does'nt recognize .avi or divx

can anyone tell me how i burn .avi or divx files, Imgburn does'nt recognize these files, i've put them in folders which i then burn, no problems but then i try to play them on my dvd program on my pc and it does'nt recognize the format, i'm really burning for my girlfriend to play on her dvd player at home, the trouble is if i take them out of their individual holders then Imgburn does'nt recognize them it only recognizes Vob, Iso whatever these are, i download from Vuze (bit torrent) and these are .avi, divx, mp4 etc, this is driving me nuts, i've used up 4 blank Dvd's already, disaster!! hoping someone can help.

Can you see the files if you browse the disc in explorer?

 

What file system do you have selected?

 

Where's the log of the burn?

ImgBurn is just a burning tool, not a conversion tool. Use DVD Flick or ConvertXtoDVD to convert those videos. Then you can burn them to DVD and they'll play on any DVD player.
