tomorrow i'm buying Verbatim DVD+R's, there more expensive but everybody says there the best, so i bow to their expertise, but i have a question and please excuse my ignorance, but i made a stupid mistake last time i tried to burn my films onto a DVD+R (Ritek), i had'nt converted to VOB; BUP and IFO files, i've now done that, DVDFlick did that for me and it created a VIDEO_TS map + an AUDIO_TS map, i've converted 3 films separately, put the 8-9 files, vob's, ifo's and bup's into an under map with the name of the film on it, if that's correct why do i need to create an ISO, secondly, when i open Imgburn do i click on "write image file to disk" or "write files/folders to disk" or does it make no difference? thirdly can anyone tell me why when i started with an Avi file of @700 Mb i've now ended up with a collection of files (vob, ifo and bup) that take up 4.1 Gb! i'm asking these questions because i can't find the answers anywhere, i've even googled it with no success, seriously confused and don't want to ruin the burn tomorrow through my own ignorance!!!

You don't need to create an ISO image before burning. You can burn directly to disc by following this guide: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=4632

AVI usually carries highly compressed video/audio at the price of lower quality, while DVD-Video uses less compression and has much better picture quality but at the cost of a bigger size. You can try and put more than one movie per DVD but in the end the quality will be pretty bad, worse than the source.
