strangelingo Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 (edited) Hi, I've been using imgburn to burn copies of my 360 games for quite a while. I use 2.4 or 4x write speeds. However, of late I've been encountering some problems while burning these discs: while writing of first layer goes very smooth, as soon as writing of second (layer 1) layer starts, write rate starts to 'go on a rollercoaster': from time to time it goes from desired write rate to 0.0x and then back or something like 1.0x and then back to desired write rate. It lasts for few seconds and then writing gets back to normal. In effect I get discs that are either entirely unreadable or where some data is missing. My drive is Samsung SH-S203B, I've been using newest versions of ImgBurn. Is the problem with hardware or am I missing something important? I 17:04:06 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Update your drive's firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Samsung/SH-S203B/files.html Verify your burns. Do a 'Disc Quality' test in CDSpeed (or PIPO test in DVDInfoPro) on the burnt/problem media.
