vladi Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Hello, everybody, been enjoying imburn for a long time and this is the first time i encounter a problem trying to burn dvd- it goes like this: Both iso and mds files are really in the same folder. The only thing i can think of is that the system doesn't recognise that swedish a, but even after trying to rename both files i got the same error message. Imgburn log doesn't show anything. I have the latest imburn version. Any suggestions? Thanks vladi
mmalves Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Rename the MDS file to a different name than the ISO file and then try burning that ISO image. By the way, there's newer firmware available for your burner (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished).

Thanks for the answer mmalves, i have renamed both files- now they don't have any odd symbols, moved them to another folder but i still get the same message. Btw., although i have renamed the files, imgburn shows that it cannot find the file with the same old name. vladi
mmalves Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Move the MDS file to another folder and then try burning just the ISO file.
vladi Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 Move the MDS file to another folder and then try burning just the ISO file. Thanks again mmalves, for the fast and helpful responses. Burned only img file and it seems that everything plays fine, log also didn't show anything bad. vladi
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 How big was the ISO? At worst, you'd only be missing the exact original layer break. I've added code as a fall back when this happens now. If the image file name in the MDS doesn't work, it'll try again with the name of the MDS file itself and just swap extension for whatever the image file should be.
vladi Posted June 7, 2009 Author Posted June 7, 2009 How big was the ISO? The iso file is 7,78GB. MDS file is 8,23kb. (I still have them on my HD) At worst, you'd only be missing the exact original layer break. If i remember correctly, when burning i had only one option to choose for the layer break,- and i think it was marked as "good" or excellent". Still haven't watched the whole dvd though. I've added code as a fall back when this happens now. If the image file name in the MDS doesn't work, it'll try again with the name of the MDS file itself and just swap extension for whatever the image file should be. Do i have to redownload imgburn for this, or will it only be available in the next updated version? Thanks for the help, vladi
