gardee005 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 i have read the guides and know there are command line options but no matter what i try i cant do what i want .... i want to erase a disc ONLY ...without doing anything else by command line...is it possible?? OR is there a way to open the erase dialog without opening imgburn...like you can with Nero?? please help if you can...and thanks for your help so far gary
Cynthia Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I couldn't find anything either. Perhaps it could be made possible...
gardee005 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Posted June 5, 2009 (edited) would be handy...i think... i have DVD+RW's x8 and my burner does a X8 burn by ZCLV... which causes jumps in the c1 scans... for each new zone...3 in all if i burn at x4 it does it by CLV so the c1 scan is pretty constant for the whole burn.. so im thinking it would be good if like in nero ther was also speed selection for the erase... as it is possible to 'recover' a disc with these c1 platteaus going up to 200 c1 then plateauing again at maybe 50 c1... if u know what i mean.. using verbatim disc and SH 182d drive by TSST. also do you know if there is a drive that would burn at CLV or CAV for DVD+RW at x8....? been looking round and all seem to burn dvd+rw at ZCLV for x8... some either 2 zones and some with 3 zones but no drives i found do a CAV or CLV x8 Edited June 5, 2009 by gardee005
mmalves Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 You do know that with DVD+RW media you can simply overwrite the data (no need to erase), right?
