Dorothy Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 I'm trying to copy some dvds when trying to create an image from the first one I get a failed to read sector error. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thank you. I 15:54:22 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! mmalves Posted June 7, 2009 Posted June 7, 2009 It seems the drive can't read the disc for some reason and the controller where the drive is connected is fumbling the error code Try cleaning the disc if it isn't clean already. Also try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You may also want to find the latest drivers for the controller where the drive is connected.

Kranskydan Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Hi all, I seem to be having the same issue with my pioneer 212 drive. Tried multiple DVDs and acleaner but I still get the same issue. When using my LG GSA-H10A it works perfectly. I assume my pioneer is screwed? 10:17:32 Operation Started! mmalves Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 It's not the same issue. Please start your own thread and, this time, post the whole log from that burn (the one you've posted is missing information at the top).
Dorothy Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 Can you try reading those disc on another drive/computer? I don't have another drive/computer to try reading them from, but I've been encoding the disks to be played on an Ipod from this computer and that reads it fine. Is that different?
mmalves Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Please run SIW and copy what it shows under Hardware -> Motherboard (you can select all the lines and copy/paste them in a reply). Have you tried a cleaning disc on that drive? Does it read OK other DVDs?
