mmalves Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Are you using the latest ImgBurn version? Your log is incomplete hence we can't see which version you're running and which interface you're using.

mmalves Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 Do you know which motherboard you have? Or which SATA controller the burner is connected to? Seems like the controller driver could be messing up things.
ppewpp Posted June 8, 2009 Author Posted June 8, 2009 Do you know which motherboard you have? Or which SATA controller the burner is connected to? Seems like the controller driver could be messing up things. I've been using the same sata controller and motherboard for the past successful burns. I'm not sure about the motherboard, but I think I have an amd sata controller.. at least that's what the program that's supposed to detect what sata controller I have said. I'm mainly wondering if this error message could ever pop up from the blank dvd+r being defective, or is it always due to some type of hardware failure?
mmalves Posted June 8, 2009 Posted June 8, 2009 It's probably because you're using low quality media (please read this). In any case the controller/driver should return the correct error codes (write error/etc), not some useless "no additional sense" By the way, try using SIW to find out which chipset you have (look in Hardware -> Motherboard).
