weird problem with Verbatims

Hi. I have an Acer Aspire 1692 with the only change being a RAM upgrade to 1GB.

I have used this drive and these DVD+R (Verbatim 16x MCC-004-00) together before and they worked fine, but now its throwing some errors.

I am trying to burn a combination of .avi and .mp4 files.

I also tried using a Memorex 4x DVD+RW to burn the same content (to see whether the drive itself, or the file format I am trying to burn, is at fault) but it burned properly.

Try cleaning the drive with one of those laser cleaning discs.
