chaosthebomb Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) Alright, so I've been using imgburn for a few months now to burn xbox360 game images, which I obtained legally of course. Anyways, I've been buying whatever blank media have been on sale, which have been fujifilm and memorex. anyways this last time i went to pick up some DVD+R DL I saw that the verbatim's were on sale so I decided to pick them up. Now before I go any farther, yes, they're made in Singapore not india and these are the 8x. I've tried burning at 8x, 4x, 2.4x, as well as updating my burners firmware but nothing has stopped one of these dvd's from becoming an expensive coaster. The burn procedure completes fully every time, with no errors or problems noted in the imgburn log. It says complete, the tune plays I pop the dvd into my xbox and it says "play game" but it says the disc is damaged and can't be read, or maybe i should try cleaning it. Now why is it that all my previously burnt games, even one i burnt the morning before I switched to these new DVD's will work, but anything I put on verbatim media will not? ImgBurn version: 2.4.4.0 DVD Drive: TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H653L thanks guys! I 13:47:25 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Verify the disc to make sure it can be read ok. After that, the issue is probably with your xbox.

You might also want to try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. Another option would be crossflashing that burner to its real model (SH-S183L), but before doing this check for updated drivers for your motherboard chipset/SATA controller(s).
