mmalves Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Use the Verify mode to check the burned disc against the source image, i.e. you shouldn't have disabled Verify
mrwhich Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) Use the Verify mode to check the burned disc against the source image, i.e. you shouldn't have disabled Verify I'm in the middle of burning another with verify on (it's on the verify step.) It had the same finalize disc problem - so far the verify (25% complete) has found nothing wrong. W 17:36:20 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (51%, 0/3) - No Seek Complete W 17:36:20 Finalise Disc Failed! - Reason: No Seek Complete W 17:36:20 Retrying (1 of 3)... W 17:36:53 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (55%, 0/3) - No Seek Complete W 17:36:53 Retry Failed - Reason: No Seek Complete W 17:36:53 Retrying (2 of 3)... W 17:37:25 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (53%, 0/3) - No Seek Complete W 17:37:25 Retry Failed - Reason: No Seek Complete W 17:37:25 Retrying (3 of 3)... W 17:37:58 Potential 'WaitImmediateIO' Deferred Error - (55%, 0/3) - No Seek Complete W 17:37:58 Retry Failed - Reason: No Seek Complete Always happens around 50% and only on the finalize step. I will edit this with the verify. Edited June 19, 2009 by mrwhich
mrwhich Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 I've read (in too many places) that burning faster than 2x for xbox 360 games will get me coasters.. I don't know but do you think that would help me finalize the disc? Here's the rest of it: I 17:38:01 Exporting Graph Data... mmalves Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Years ago that would be true, but today's burners are fine tuned for speed, and, as such, a faster speed can result in a better quality burn, which is what matters to the console's drive.
mrwhich Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 (edited) what does a coaster look like? I just looked at the back of the two discs I burned and right around the edges the color is different in a whole circle around the disc. The empty discs don't have this... Edit: This outer ring color matches the color of an empty disc. So the disc changes color slightly when I burn it or do I have coasters? Edited June 19, 2009 by mrwhich
mmalves Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 You have coasters if they don't pass verify/don't work on your console. You can't tell just by looking at it
mrwhich Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 You have coasters if they don't pass verify/don't work on your console. You can't tell just by looking at it Oh I thought it would be a literal coaster on the disc or something lol. I only tested the second one with verify so I think I'm good. I need to test these soon so I can determine if I even need to solve the problem or just ignore it.
mmalves Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner, it should help with the problem.
mrwhich Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) Neither of those discs that I burned worked... maybe it's my burner.. I'll try it with another burning program and see. EDIT: It works with Dvd Decryptor. It even finalizes... Edited June 24, 2009 by mrwhich
Cynthia Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Many burn errors were never reported in that old program - so even if you think it's ok - it might not be error less.
