mmalves Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Disc ID: RITEK-F16-01 That happens because you're using junk media that your burner doesn't like. Try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks and it should work
l33ch Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Im using TDK DVD+R 1-16x speed l 4.7g.b I have Memorex DVD+R DL Ill see if that works. Thanks for the suggestion, brb to update if it worked
l33ch Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 Your a god damn genius. Ill be sure to try those other disc, thanks a bunch man!!!!!!!!
Cynthia Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Memorex is not that good either and Matshita burners are very tricky with media.
l33ch Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 How can I change my burner, and If I do change it, what would be ideal? Also where can I find Taiyo Yuden blanks without buying online? Never seen them at best buy or the like.
Cynthia Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 That burner - is it inside a laptop or a regular computer? If it's the first - go for an external (USB) - the later one - it's easy if you know how to use a screwdriver. Verbatims made in Japan can be with Taiyo Yuden media codes.

It's a Laptop HP pavilion DV 6000. External what?????? And I didn't understand what you meant when saying... "Verbatims made in Japan can be with Taiyo Yuden media codes." Sorry... I'm new to all this {ImgBurn}. I used to use Nero but got aggravated with it and decided to go with IMGBurn and about 6 or 7 disks went great until all this which started happening today.
Cynthia Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 media code = the thing that tells what dye that was used for the discs. External burner is one that you have outside the computer and connected with a cable to your computer, like an USB cable. Internal slim line lap top burners are mostly more tricky to get good burns with that the normal heights burners.
