LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Reboot your PC and try again. If Process Explorer and Unlocker don't find anything, it must be something very low level.
Lemp Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 I tried to reboot, virusscan the thing, ccleaner, ad-aware etc. Nothing works...
Cynthia Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Perhaps a gadget in the Vista desktop that's causing it?
mmalves Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 If you close the Sidebar, does it work? //edit oops too slow again
mmalves Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Do you have a DVD-R/DVD-RW disc that you could use with Test Mode enabled to see if you can burn while in Safe Mode? Oh, and just to be sure, when you're going to open ImgBurn right-click on the shortcut and choose Run as administrator
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Stick SP2 on too. There was a bug in SP1 where the system could lock the drive and not release it.
Lemp Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 Well, for some reason imgburn didnt run as administrator while i choose for that ages ago, dont know how it got turned off. Anyway, I turnded it on and its working again, thnx all for your input
LIGHTNING UK! Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 What type of account are you logged in with? One that has the 'Account Type' set to 'Administrator' or one that has it set to 'Standard User' ? Do you have UAC enabled?
Lemp Posted June 24, 2009 Author Posted June 24, 2009 I got no uac on. Yesterday it went fine and i burned 1 dl dvd. But this morning i tried to burn a dvd and it doesnt work again. Now its like imgburn freezes because the dvd in the drive and the drive itself keep on making this weird noise. I also can shut down the pc the proper way... I tried 2 different drives but none works. Reinstalling imgburn didnt work either. What could have changed since 2 days ago? Maybe an update for vista?
