murwood Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Would it be possible to offer an option to be able to re-try a burn opertion that failed the first time? Due to things like the operating system deciding to pause and think for a while durring a burn, or dust that I missed when inserting the disk, being able to restart the burn of the exact same file may prevent another coaster....
polopony Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 once you write anything to a single layer dvd and the burn fails that disc is a coaster you cant pick up where you left off with that disk.If you have a pause when buffers are running out having BURNPROOF enabled will make sure that the burn goes fine it momentarily pauses the burn to give the buffers a chance to fill again.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I must be missing something here... surely a 'retry' is as simple as swapping discs and clicking the 'Write' button again?!
Qyngali Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 How does the queue work in this situation? If you queue up say 5 isos and nr.3 fails verify?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 It asks if you want to retry (or at least it should do ) It may only happen if you have multiple copies queued for that image, can't remember exactly.
dirio49 Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 (edited) Question, (maybe a bit off topic ) If you check delete image, and the burn fails, is the image deleted? or if the verify fails, does it delete the image? Thanks. Edited March 13, 2006 by dirio49
