kidblast Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Afternoon all. I'm using Imgburner for the first time. I am using version 2.4.4.0 on an HP G60 running Vista home basic. I am attempting to create an ISO file from a legit copy of Call of Duty deluxe edition using Imgburn. This operation keeps failing because of an I/O error ( I have attached an scrnsht) These CD-Roms are for XP, no mention of Vista (obviously) and the disks are in mint condition. Fault below: I 15:50:12 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 15:50:12 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 15:50:12 Total Physical Memory: 977,352 KB - Available: 387,424 KB I 15:50:12 Initialising SPTI... I 15:50:12 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 15:50:12 Found 1 DVD-ROM and 1 DVD
Cynthia Posted July 11, 2009 Posted July 11, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, kidblast! Most likely the unreadable sectors are a form of copy protection system and ImgBurn can't deal with such things.
kidblast Posted July 11, 2009 Author Posted July 11, 2009 Right. Even though I own the bloomin' disc I can't make a back up of it on my PC. Charming. Oh well. The search continues. Hi and welcome to the forum, kidblast! Most likely the unreadable sectors are a form of copy protection system and ImgBurn can't deal with such things.
